Banquet and Award Ceremony

The EuroSys 2024 banquet and award ceremony will be held in the Zappeion Megaron, on the 24th of April 2024.

Zappeion Megaron is part of national heritage of Greek civilization, a symbol of architectural grandeur steeped in history and elegance nestled within the National Garden of Athens. Originally built to host the first modern Olympic Games in 1896, the Zappeion now stands as a testament to Greece's enduring legacy and commitment to fostering intellectual exchange. As you step into its elegant halls, you'll be enveloped in a timeless ambiance that inspires collaboration and innovation.

The historic building's grand halls and picturesque surroundings provide an ideal setting for prestigious ceremonies, gala dinners, and diplomatic gatherings. Additionally, it often serves as a hub for art installations and performances, enriching the cultural landscape of the city.

How to get there

Zappeion is very easily accessible from the EuroSys 2024 venue on foot, in about 850 meters distance. You may check the directions on Google Maps.

You may want to take the opportunity to enjoy a peaceful strawl through the National Garden of Athens on your way to the banquet. The National Garden extends all the way from the Zappeion Megaron to the Hellenic Parliament (Syntagma), hosting a small zoo in the center of the city.

For those opting not to walk, the only alternative transport is by taxi.
